Do you know how to calculate the height of a building without ever touching the building? Learn these things and more as we explore ways to counter the common misconception that math is "too hard" or "too boring" for every student to enjoy. This workshop will include material for math teachers of all levels.

    • Teaching Pre-Writing Skills - Brandon Mullet: Everyone knows the power of the blank page:  the paper is due the next morning, but the cursor on the blank screen blinks placidly while the clock ticks on. Giving students strategies for overcoming the power of the blank page can make the difference between  a good paper and a terrible paper. This workshop focuses on the creative and organizing aspects of generating a thesis and essay.
